The goal of the campaign was to show the impact of advertising on autotrader.nl. Brand dealers were sceptic about advertising their used cars on autotrader.nl. This while on average every car gets 41 visitors each minute per day. Auto Trader salesreps were not welcome at the dealers any more so a different strategy was needed. A touringcar with 41 people drove across Holland to ‘raid’ 10 cardealers. All of the actors focused their attention on just one of the used cars in the salon. This way the attention became visible to the dealer. The next day this report was send to all cardealers in Holland selling the same brand. They received an email with a link telling them that “Peugeot dealer ‘Smit’ in Amersfoort was raided”. Ofcourse this link was widely viewed. According to the agency the campaign was a huge succes.
